Privacy Policy

How we handle data about people who use our network and visit this site. Short, honest, written in plain English.

Last updated: 2026-05-12

  1. 1. Information we collect

When you sign up for service we collect the information necessary to bill you and provision your circuit: name, service address, billing address, phone number, email, payment method, and government-issued ID if required by the operator providing the underlying line.

When you use the network we collect operational data: IP address assignments, modem identifier, signal-strength telemetry, throughput counters, and outage events. We do not inspect the contents of your traffic except as required to respond to a specific legal demand.

When you visit this website we collect basic request logs (URL, timestamp, IP, user-agent) and a minimal set of cookies necessary for navigation. Analytics cookies — if any — are opt-in and can be declined.

  2. 2. How we use it

To provision and maintain your service.

To issue invoices and process payments.

To answer your support requests and to send essential service notices (outages, equipment changes, billing changes).

To detect and respond to abuse of our network, including denial-of-service attacks, spam, and malware.

To comply with our legal obligations in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

  3. 3. What we never do

We never sell customer data to third parties.

We never inspect, store or hand over the contents of your traffic except when compelled by a valid legal order, and we publish a transparency report once a year describing the orders we received.

We never share marketing email lists with other companies.

  4. 4. Retention

Account and billing data: for the life of the account, plus seven years after closure for accounting and tax purposes.

Network operational logs (IP assignment, signal telemetry, outage events): 90 days.

Support tickets: 36 months after closure.

Marketing communications opt-in records: for as long as the opt-in remains active, plus 24 months after revocation.

  5. 5. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to overriding legal retention obligations), or ask us to restrict its processing.

Requests are answered within 30 days. Send them from the email on the account to [email protected], or by mail to the operations address on our contact page.

  6. 6. Cookies

Essential cookies (session, basket, language preference) are set by default and cannot be disabled — the site does not function without them.

Analytics cookies are opt-in. If you decline, we do not load analytics tags.

  7. 7. Children

ZhouyiSat services are sold to adults (18+) and our website is not directed at children. If we learn we have inadvertently collected information about a person under 13 we delete it immediately.

  8. 8. Cross-border transfers

Our network and back-office systems are operated within Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands. Some support tooling (email, ticketing) is hosted with reputable U.S. cloud providers under standard contractual terms.

  9. 9. Contact
